Tonight Boarder joined us for devotional time. He actually had the app for our devotional on his phone which sent a BIG MESSAGE to the boys, because they think he is really cool.
Tonight's verses: Luke 10:39-42 and Psalm 105:4.
The conversation settled on being anxious and worrying. We talked about all of the things we worry about. Initially both boys said they don't worry about anything. (Hmmm....do they not understand the definition of worrying?) But...when Boarder started listing all of the things he worries about it opened the flood gate. Worry after worry. Through those worries I saw a little bit of their past. Worries about not having enough food and not being safe. Those are still VERY REAL to both of the boys.
I could tell it was getting uncomfortable for Younger Boy, because he checked out and became a toddler. Laying on the floor and picking at his fingers.
We talked about turning it all over to God. Every single worry. That he would provide what we needed.
Thank you God for putting Boarder in our lives for this season. You know how long he will be there and what we needed him for even when we didn't.
