When I got home from shopping the boys let me know that Sophie had an upset stomach.

They knew this because she had diarrhea.  No one knows what she might have eaten to make her sick.

Unfortunately she was sick on the family room carpet.

So...being the prudent children they are they put a baby gate around the mess so that no one would step in it.

I appreciate their thoughtfulness!
