So...today I found out we WILL NOT be filing for adoption on June 21st. The state changed their procedures a couple of months ago and neither Service Coordinator was aware of it. It used to be the subsidy didn't need to be worked through until the court date. Now it has to be worked through before filing.
Younger Boy's Service Coordinator has started gathering the information and has some of it. Middle Boy's has barely started. This could result in a delay of up to six weeks.
Not even sure how to tell the boys. I'm disappointed. I want all of this to be DONE for MANY reasons.
The subsidy negotiations are going to be UGLY.
Prayers for expedient work on the subsidy pieces and wisdom for how to tell the boys that it might be more like Halloween when they are finally adopted.
