Sophie has been doing a lot of shaking lately.  You have to keep in mind she is a toy dachshund and weighs slightly less than six pounds.

The boys are worried about her so we did a little research on why it is that she might be shaking.  Here are the possible reasons:
  1. She is hurt. - I doubt this is it since when she is hurt she usually yelps REALLY loud.
  2. She is wet. - Again...I doubt it.  The only time she is ever wet is when she gets in the shower in the morning before I do.  She loves to do it.
  3. She is scared. - Maybe.  The boys aren't always as careful as they could be and sometimes they get a little rough.  It wouldn't be rough if she were a bigger dog, but for her it is a little rough.
  4. She is excited. - Likely.  She gets overly excited and runs all over...a lot.
  5. She is cold. - Probably.  It said online dachshunds are most comfortable at 85 to 90 degrees.  If this is her problem Sophie is going to need to learn to like sweaters.
The boys are on a mission to figure this out.  Sounds like a good project to me.

She did MUCH better with the new bedtime tonight.
