Today I took all three boys to the KSU football game and for Middle Boy to meet Grandma and Grandpa for the first time.
On the way there Younger Boy was super worried he would think football is boring and that he might fall asleep during the game. Middle Boy was sure he could be a Wildcat fan. Older Boy didn't really have any notions about what the day might hold. Middle Boy was also pretty sure he would buy a black or gray shirt.
We went to lunch and then went shopping at a campus store. All three boys got PURPLE shirts and baseball caps. They were so excited.
We went to the hotel and met Grandma and Grandpa and then went to buy food for our tailgate. After that it was off to the stadium for dinner and playing catch with the football. The boys had a good time. Older Boy only hit other groups of people with the ball about three times.
The boys loved the game. Grandma sat with Younger Boy and Middle Boy. Grandpa sat by himself and I sat with Older Boy. I have two season tickets and Grandma had bought a four pack of tickets so we could all go to the game together. Grandma said Middle Boy was very knowledgable about football and excited to be on his team at school. He told her all about the plays and which players weren't doing what they were supposed to. Younger Boy took a lot of pictures of cheerleaders and Older Boy ate a lot of food. There were fireworks after the game set to music and we all loved them. Grandpa tried to video them so the boys could have it, but it didn't work out so well.
Apparently now all three boys are planning to move to Manhattan. Middle Boy is going to live in an apartment so he can focus on his studies. His words not mine. Younger Boy is going to live in a dorm where there are both boys and girls. His words not mine.
I am so thankful they loved the game, because it is one of the things I love. I can't wait to take them each individually.
Praises for a great day and safe travels.
