Today I am at peace about the move. I have started the process of getting all of the items changed to the later closing date. I hesitate to even write a date, but now we are looking at the weekend of September 7th.
There are a couple of items which are going to be a little bit tougher to solve. Younger Boy needs transportation home from school. I can take him. No big deal, but school gets out at 2:40PM. Babysitter J is going to be picking up Middle Boy at the high school so she might be able to do it, but logistically it won't be very smooth.
Younger Boy does want to go out for football. You have to go through tryouts to make the team. He is likely good enough. If he were to make the team all of the transportation issues would go away, because practice gets over at 4:30PM and I will be leaving work at 4:00PM.
There are still a lot of things to be coordinated and changed. They will get done. I am sure of it.
We are going to continue packing, but it can be in a more controlled fashion now. We were to the point where we were just going to have to throw stuff in random boxes and hope for the best.
I'm not crazy about the new move date. I am concerned about the level of upheaval it will cause since school will already be started and it will be so close to the adoption date.
Praying for continued peace of mind for me and less anxiety for the boys.
