Today was check-in day at the high school Middle Boy will be attending.  It is mandatory for students and parents.  It is a big high school so each graduating year is assigned a time block.

Freshman were assigned 12:30PM - 3:30PM.  The paperwork says it will take one hour to complete the check-in process.  That is true...they didn't lie.  What they forgot to mention that you will have to stand in line for TWO HOURS before you can begin your one hour process. 

When we got there at 12:30PM they were still checking in senior who were from 9:00AM - 12:00PM.  They were still checking them in at 1:00PM.

We now have his schedule.  I laughed when I saw it....out loud.  Last year he prided himself on being able to sleep through the first couple of hours.  Not this year, my friend.

They are on block scheduling which means A days and B days.

Here's how his schedule looks:

A Days:  JROTC, Facts, CAD/Design Eng, Spanish
B Days:  US History, English, Pre-Algebra, Physical Science

I had to look up what Facts is.  It is a required freshman class exploring all different career options and paths.

There will be 650 freshman at his high school this fall.
