I told the boys tonight that I was reviewing the adoption petitions and this brought up the discussion about who they wanted to have at their adoption hearings.

Their lists were interesting.  It really made me see who they deem important and influential in their lives.  Younger Boy had two dogs on his list and a number of school friends.  Middle Boy said "I wouldn't invite friends from school.  Then you will have to explain why you need to be adopted."

Younger Boy asked where the adoption takes place...inside or outside.  Middle Boy replied "It isn't a wedding."  I explained that it will be just like court was on Tuesday.  We will go to court and the judge will ask me some questions and he will ask him some questions and we'll sign some papers and take some pictures.

We talked about having a celebration open house and who they would invite to that.  Part way through the discussion Younger Boy asked if he was going to be at the celebration or if he was going to have to go to respite that weekend.   Further proof they still don't believe the adoption is happening to them.

We talked about how he would in fact be present at HIS OWN adoption celebration.
