Tonight Middle Boy made homemade salsa from a recipe he found online.  He enjoys cooking and usually I just let him do his thing as long as he cleans up the kitchen afterward.

Younger Boy helped him.  I was working on some paperwork when I heard Middle Boy do what all good big brothers do...he told him to eat some jalapeno seeds, because "they aren't that hot".  Before I could say anything Younger Boy had downed the seeds and was dancing around the kitchen fanning his mouth.

When they asked if a jalapeno would make Sophie sick I had to draw the line.

The salsa turned out good.  Extremely hot.  The kitchen is fully cleaned up and Sophie did not get a jalapeno.  All in all a good experience.
