This afternoon an old friend started a conversation with me instant messaging on FB.  After we had chatted a couple of minutes I got a message that said...call me.

This is the kind of old friend where it doesn't matter how much time has passed or how long it has been since we have talked, we just get each other.

It was good to laugh.  It was good to talk about life.  It was good to have the perspective of a lifelong friend.

I miss this friend with my whole heart and I can't wait until we talk again...whenever that might be.
