Tonight we had to go to Walgreens, because I needed to pick up our monthly medications.

I was getting everything we needed and walked past the aisle the boys were in.  They were hitting each other with plastic swords and had knocked a BUNCH of things off of the shelves.  Really?

They were really "put out" when I made the pick up everything and put it away.  They asked if they could have the swords.  Nope...not a need and you don't have any money.  I can't buy things I don't have money for and neither can they.  It is a tough lesson to learn.  It is also tough to know that asking repeatedly doesn't increase your chances.  In fact it really hurts them.

They boys think it is unreasonable they had to stay with me during the remainder of the trip to Walgreens.  Until they can display proper behavior in the store that's the prize they won in the sword fight.

Middle Boy wanted to know if I realized trips to the store would take longer.  Yes...I realize that and it stinks.

Prayers for manners and respect for the property of others.  We are really lacking them in most areas of life right now.
