This morning I got a call from Middle Boy's school.  He had lied to the PE teacher and missed half of class yesterday.  As a result he got a referral to their "positive action center" which is basically an in-school suspension for the morning.

Since this happened he is now no longer included in the end of the year eighth grade celebration at school, because you couldn't have any PAC referrals in the month of May.

I asked Assistant Principal if I could speak to him.  I told Middle Boy there would be no afterschool dance and that he was to go directly home after school.

I want to trust that it will happen, but honestly deep inside I know it won't.
