Both boys live with a sense of urgency all of the time. Tonight Middle Boy needed his haircut...NOW.
I told him that I didn't feel comfortable doing it. I could have, but it would have resulted in me making him "look like a nerd". I told him we could do it tomorrow evening. He doesn't want to go to someone, because they will cut the parts he doesn't want them to. I explained that they are "working for you" so you TELL THEM what you want and then that is how they cut your hair.
He decided to just take care of it himself...with the help of Younger Boy. Couldn't wait less than 24 hours. This was an EMERGENCY!!
It looks marginal. We will probably have to go tonight to get it fixed. It will look marginal at school tomorrow. Marginal is not how I would personally want someone to describe my haircut, but hey...it isn't my hair.
Prayers this was a lesson learned. I somehow don't think it was!
