We are on a countdown to Middle Boy's final team meeting. If all goes well there will only be June, July, and maybe August. Middle Boy has been having monthly family team meetings since 2003.
Today's meeting was good. He was respectful and made jokes with his team members. He updated them on the classes he is enrolled in next year for high school. He talked about going to college. The team told us about a program for foster kids and former foster kids that helps them get scholarship money and with "real world" education. That was really encouraging.
Middle Boy's GAL told me after the meeting he is a different kid than she has ever seen. She has been on his case team since the beginning and she said she had never seen him this happy or this comfortable. It was good to hear, but is all God's doing. All I have done is what God asked me to do.
We have a number of things we still need to do before the adoption, but we are slowly able to check them off.
Prayers for the remainder of the process. It looks a lot the same for Younger Boy.
